Dartmouth College Library Teaching Statement

The teaching statements provide Education & Outreach with a consistent means of identifying and supporting the teaching-related needs of librarians by encouraging reflection and goal-setting around teaching issues.

Librarians with teaching responsibilities update their teaching statements annually, using the template below, and submit them to their supervisors as part of the performance review process. The statements then go to the director of Education & Outreach who writes a report summarizing their contents. E&O then uses that summary to identify topics for and plan the upcoming year’s professional development activities.
