Paddock Music Library houses the music-related collections of the Dartmouth College Library. In 1962, with the occasion of the founding of the Hopkins Center, Lois Paddock Hicks and Orton Havergal Hicks '21 endowed Paddock Library in honor of Nellie F. and Frank A. Paddock. The library moved to its present location on the lower level of the Hopkins Centerin 1986.
The library's collections support academic and interdisciplinary needs of Dartmouth academic departments and the music research and recreational needs of the Dartmouth community at large. The collections cover all genres of music (classical, popular, world music, jazz) and include scores, sound and video recordings, reference materials, journals and digital resources. Music manuscripts, archives and the sheet music collection are located at Rauner Special Collections Library.
